So, who am I?
I’m Dr. Brendan K. Hartman. I’m a father of three (including twins), and a sociologist, educator, and consultant focused on the social and emotional wellbeing of boys and men.
My work connects academic research to real-world application. I work with perinatal professionals and government agencies around supporting fathers and their families, as well as with parents and children and youth.
Most importantly, I’ve seen what actually helps—not just in theory, but in real homes, real relationships, and real lives.
Fathers are incredibly important, yet meaningful support for fathers is rare. Fatherhood can be destabilizing in ways many men aren’t prepared for, and a lot of dads end up carrying that alone.
That’s why I created this course: So the power of fatherhood can lead to greater wellbeing and deeper relationships—so dads and their families can thrive.
This Isn’t About Being Perfect
There’s no single way to be a great father.
This course isn’t about guilt, shame, or getting everything right.
It’s about moving forward with awareness—
and making intentional choices from here on out.
Whether you’re preparing for fatherhood,
or already feeling some of the shifts that often come with it…
…whether you’re single, partnered, biological, adoptive, or a stepparent…
the opportunity is the same.
“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.”
That’s true of fatherhood too.
If something in your life feels off — in your relationship, your parenting, or yourself — this is where you change it.
You don’t need more time to figure it out alone.
You need a different way forward.
